Authoritatively cultivate sustainable imperatives without transparent internal or "organic" sources.
Tap water is a community’s greatest equalizer. What flows from our taps doesn’t recognize or accept boundaries of class or poverty or society. Everyone has access to the same product and service, and it treats us all the same. It is all ours.
Imagine the possibilities: Our local water is a part of who we are as a thriving and historic community. If water makes up nearly 70 percent of our bodies as human beings, then Spartanburg Water is, indeed, a big part of us—literally.
What better way to celebrate our community and its local resources than to make its very own water, straight from the tap, the beverage of choice in Spartanburg?
We’ll drink to that!

Our new Choose Tap Van is a mobile refill station developed by our very own Spartanburg Water professionals. It provides an unlimited supply of ice-cold drinking water at large community events. It’s an inexpensive way to enjoy cold, refreshing, local tap water without having to buy bottled water.
The van hooks up to a nearby water supply - spigot or hydrant - to provide a constant supply of water, which is cooled by ice and coils. It has four taps that allow everyone to easily fill up reusable water bottles or cups.
The van is perfect for free community events with an estimated attendance of 1,000 people or more and lasting more than four hours. The event must be located within the Spartanburg Water System service area and must be requested by a current Spartanburg Water customer.
You will be notified if Spartanburg Water is able to grant a request for the Choose Tap van. A request is not a confirmation of the van's availability for your event.
The van is scheduled for a maximum of five events per calendar year.
For smaller community events with less than 1,000 expected attendees, you can request our Choose Tap "jockey box" or our ToGo coolers.

Located in multiple outdoor and indoor locations around Spartanburg—including the Rail Trail, Spartanburg Public Library and several area schools—Spartanburg Water Choose Tap bottle refill stations are a convenient way for the community to enjoy our award-winning tap water. Each year through our Choose Tap program, we work to expand our impact and bring more refill stations to public locations within our footprint.

If you are planning to host a smaller event, insulated 5-gallon Choose Tap ToGo Coolers may be the solution to ensuring that refreshing local tap water is served to your guests!
Requests for Choose Tap ToGo Coolers must be made by a current Spartanburg Water customer at least 30 days prior to the event and will be granted based on availability.
Each cooler equals 80 6-ounce servings of Choose Tap. Groups can request up to four coolers for an event. Ice is available from one of our 12 Twice the Ice houses located across Spartanburg County. We supply tokens for free bags of ice for the coolers. Water is available for $1 for 5 gallons at all but our Boiling Springs Twice the Ice houses.
Coolers must be picked up and returned to Spartanburg Water. We are not able to provide coolers filled with water and ice. Our team cleans and sanitizes all coolers before use. Please rinse coolers that are used outdoors to remove dirt and mud.
We hope that you enjoy using our Choose Tap ToGo coolers. Please follow these instructions so that we can keep them clean and in good shape for all of those folks like you who have chosen tap water.
Your Choose Tap ToGo cooler is clean and ready to use. Each cooler will provide approximately 80 servings of tap water. We recommend filling the cooler with ice and tap water before your event.
Before you return the cooler, you'll need to wash and sanitize it:
We also offer plastic, refillable Choose Tap water bottles that can be requested based on availability for community organizations and local events, with a maximum of 50 bottles per event.
Requests for coolers and bottles must be made one month in advance of your event to be considered. Subject to availability and group size. Please complete the entire form for consideration.
