Spartanburg Water will hold a ribbon cutting event on Friday, November 14, at 10:30 a.m. to commemorate the official opening of the new Lake Blalock Nature Trail.
The 2.1 mile trail is located at Lake Blalock Park, 1925 Sandy Ford Rd., Chesnee. The park is free and open to the public, with permits available for watercraft use and fishing.
“Hurricane Helene caused extensive damage and tree loss to our Lake Blalock Park,” said Spartanburg Water CEO, Guy Boyle. “But, with this negative impact we were able to create a positive one for our community, using the newly created open spaces to construct a nature trail that all ages can enjoy in any season.”
